Earlie Mae Rogers

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 25, 2014, at New Zion MB Church, Oakvale, for Mrs. Earlie Mae Rogers, age 85, who died Wednesday, January 22 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg. Rev. Ronnie Mackabee officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Earlie Mae Rogers was born to the late Levi and Lucy Ann Turner in Oakvale. She worked as a CNA at Jeff Davis Extended Care Facility for over 38 years before retiring.
She was a member of New Zion MB Church where she served on the usher board until her health failed her.
She is survived by daughters Diane Williams and Victoria Turne both of Oakvale, Shirley (Archie) Thompson of Silver Creek; three sons, Oliver (Alma) Rogers of Monticello, Rickey (Christina) Rogers of Oakvale and Enoch (Cathy) Rogers of Lumberton; children she raised as her own, Lewis Martin, Mary Drummond, Gloria Rogers, LaSheila (Kelvin) Murphy, Sharon Rogers, LaStephen (Sebrina) Rogers, LaToria (Curtis) Badgett and Marieka (LaDon) Thompson; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
