The supervisors, along with the board attorney and engineer, toured the Foley plant to observe operations Monday after their bi-monthly meeting.
Currently, the plant is at 30% operation and employs 12 workers, but the company hopes to soon be up to 20 plus employees.
They are now distributing seven sizes of arched and round pipe ranging from 15 to 54 inches.
A wet cast production area is presently under construction and is expected to be complete by late August. Once complete, the plant will be able to build bridge sections and man-hole spaces.
“Things are going very well and we are looking forward to a busy year. We are very glad to be here and see a lot of potential in this area”, said Dennis Morrissey, Foley Operations Manager.

In other board news, the supervisors appointed Shirley Dampier as the Board Representative to Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Inc., and Keith Bridges as District 1 representative on the hospital board of trustees.
Also, the county received word from the Mississippi Development Authority that their application did not rate within the funding range for the Homeowner Rehabilitation/ Reconstruction Grant.
