Flora Jean Johnson

Funeral services for Ms. Flora Jean Johnson, age 56, of Bassfield, were held on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at St. Paul MB Church in Bassfield. Interment was in the Taylor Cemetery in Carson. Reverend Clifton Preston was the eulogist. Reeves Funeral Home of Mt. Olive was in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Johnson passed away at Jefferson Davis Hospital in Prentiss on November 11.
Honorary pallbearers were Roosevelt Bullard, L.C. Johnson, Bruce Brown, and Luther Echols
Pallbearers were Charles Stubbs, Harold Rhodes, Samuel Dampeer, Roland Harper, Ricky Harper, and MacArthur Echols.
Ms. Johnson was educated in the Jefferson Davis County School System, graduating from Bassfield High School. She attended Alcorn State University and received her degree from the University of Phoenix.
She was a teaching assistant for 16 years with the Jefferson Davis County School System.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Mae Graves Johnson; brother, Buford Earl; and two sisters, Bobbie Nell and Marilyn.
Survivors include her children, Roosevelt Thomas Bullard and Annica Maelinda Bullard; her father, Reverend Otho Johnson; sister, Ora M. Harrell; two goddaughters, Azaria Magee and Mishalei Hall; and a host of relatives, friends and other loved ones.
