Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Owens, 77, Lilly Valley Community, Mt. Olive, were held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Lilly Valley MB Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pastor Tyrone Spencer officiated the services. Reeves Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Owens passed away on Saturday, February 28, at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg.

Active pallbearers were Gregory Starr, Paul Owens, Lee Edward Keys, Jr., Douglas Owens, Roderick Brown, Marcus Owens, Marcus Keys, and Rocrecus Keys.

Honorary pallbearers were Paul Owens, James Owens, Donald Owens, and Jerry Owens.

She was a lifelong member of Lilly Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Olive.

Her parents, D.W. and Elizabeth Warren and her husband, Otis Owens, preceded her in death.

Survivors include six daughters, Mae Lean (Johnny) Brown of Jackson, Betty Jean (Lee Edward) Keys of Collins, Mary Joyce (James) Magee of Collins, Lee G. (Curtis) Darby of Walnut Grove, Janice L. Agee of San Pablo, CA; and Kandice (Oliver) Owens of Collins; four sons, Paul (Juliet) Collins, James (Gail) Owens of Prentiss, Donald Owens of Collins, and Jerry (Regina) of Waynesboro; three sisters, Girtha Brown of Richmond, CA, Josephine Warren of San Pablo, CA, and Magalene Barksdale of Jackson; three brothers, Earl Warren of Dundee, FL, James Warren of Collins, and Davis Warren of San Pablo, CA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
