Betty King, age 62, was called home from this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at her residence in Silver Creek, MS. Mrs. King was born July 1 in Prentiss to Paul Bennett and Louise Herrington Barnett. Graveside services followed in Cliburn Cemetery in New Hebron. Rev. Ray Hodges and Rev. Mike Sutton officiated the services. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers were Lyle Berard, Logan Berard, Cody Burrow, Ben Barnett, Billy Barnett and Randy Barnett. Honorary pallbearers are James Nations, Cory Nations, Ricky Barnett, Jim Barnett, Dillon Berard, Gage Bullock, Garrett Dickerson, Billy Reynolds and Emmitt Bullock.

Mrs. King worked for many years in the New Hebron Manufacturing as a seamstress. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of Shalom Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Bennett and Louise Herrington Barnett; daughter, Darla Bullock Berard; and brothers, Paul Barnett and HT Barnett.

Survivors are her husband of 31 years, Shelton King of Silver Creek; daughter, Dana Bullock Dickerson and husband Derek of Silver Creek; son, Kenny Bullock and wife Becky of Monticello; brother, Ausbin Barnett of New Hebron; sister, Barbara Nations of New Hebron; grandchildren, Lyle Berard, Logan Berard, Lacy Berard, Cody Burrow, Dillon Berard, Garrett Dickerson, Alyssa Bullock, Gage Bullock and Alexis Shivers; great grandchildren, Evan Berard, Taylor Berard and Madisyn Berard; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
