Bassfield fire claims life

The Prentiss Headlight—Bassfield Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire on Nelson Lane Friday night around 6:00 p.m. Ms. Joyce Young perished in the fire. Good Hope Volunteer Fire Department assisted with the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
