Emily Polk Royalty, 92, of Petal, died June 9, 2015, at Windham House. Funeral services were held June 12 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg. Burial was in Prentiss City Cemetery.

Mrs. Royalty was a retired teacher and a member of Greens Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joe H. Royalty; and her parents, Jule Wilkins Polk and Minnie Baker Polk.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharron Royalty of Petal; granddaughter, Stephanie Harrison of Petal; great-granddaughter, Emi Harrison of England; two nieces, Lady June Lipsey and Joann Polk Hunt; and a nephew, Cecil Glen Polk.
