Shooting suspect in custody

Prentiss Police officers were called to the Jefferson Davis County Community Hospital Wednesday evening to interview a gunshot victim.
The victim had been shot in the leg with a small caliber handgun. The victim stated the shooting occurred at 1115 1st Street, in Prentiss.
He stated that he was at the residence on First Street when an altercation broke out with he and Tunji Jordan.
The victim stated that Jordan allegedly shot him in the leg at the residence and he fled to the hospital for treatment.
With the assistance of the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Department, Prentiss Police officers interviewed and arrested 24 year-old Tunji Jordan.
Further investigation is ongoing.
