Louella R. Gaddis

Mrs. Louella Gaddis departed this life at her home in Hattiesburg, Sunday, June 19, 2016.
Mrs. Louella “Mama Lou” as she was affectionately called, was the daughter of the late Beulah Funchess and Frank Rushin.
She was born April 21, 1921, in Jefferson Davis County. She joined Blackmon Temple at an early age and later moved to Hattiesburg, where she was married many years later to the late Cleo Gaddis.
Louella was retired from being a homemaker and caregiver. She also enjoyed cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters and her son, Allen Jordan, Sr.
She leaves her loving memories to one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ora Jordan of Hattiesburg, her beloved step-children, one sister, Lynette Leonard of Hattiesburg, three sister-in-laws; Noemar Funches of Carson, Nancy Funchess of Bassfield, and Rosetta Hamilton of Hattiesburg, grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were her nephews and great nephews. Flowerbearers were nieces and great nieces.
Interment was in Shady Grove B. Church in Hattiesburg.
Young Funeral Home of Taylorsville was in charge of services.
