As I went over to get the arrest docket this morning, I stopped by the Sheriff’s office to see if there was any news.

There have been a rash of burglaries in Jeff Davis County lately.

I was informed previously about several in the Whitesand community, but was told this morning that the Clem community has been hit hard as well.

At least four burglaries have happened in Clem within the last three or four weeks.

Most of us work hard for our possessions. I can’t understand what would drive someone to trespass on someone’s property and take something that doesn’t belong to them.

But, there are a lot of things I don’t understand.

Law enforcement officials are requesting the public’s help with these burglaries.
