Funeral services for Willard Mauldin will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at Smyrna Baptist Church. Mauldin passed away from this life on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, in Jackson. Willard Mauldin was 77 years, 11 months, and 13 days of age.
Reverend Gary Bridges officiated and Ann Ingram provided the musical service. Interment was in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.
Wade Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Steve Mauldin, Justin Mauldin, Randy Carter, Mason Stringer, Larry Pace, and Kelton Freeman. Mark Mauldin, Shannon McGregor, and J.D. Runnels served as Honorary Pallbearers.
Willard A. Mauldin was born on Saturday, December 3, 1938, in Covington County to Clarence and Elizabeth Susan Ward Mauldin. Mauldin was a farmer and a retired machinist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
Mauldin was preceded in death by his mother and father; his son, Billy Darrell Mauldin; and a brother, Oscar Mauldin.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Louise Mauldin of Seminary; one brother, Randy Mauldin and his wife Marilyn of Sumrall; three sisters, Judy Baughman and her husband Thurman of Pachuta, Carolyn Bullock and her husband Richard of Glendale, AZ; and Teresa McRaney of Bassfield; and a host other relatives and friends.
