All four county schools participated in the first annual toy drive in memory K. J. Gholar. Gholar was a student at J.E. Johnson before Leukemia took his life in February. Pictured are Cathy Taylor, J.E. Johnson Principal Carrie Hammond-Walker, Mary Gholar and Robert Young (not pictured is Dr. Subrina Mason). Toys were delivered to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson. Each year the drive will be hosted in the memory of Gholar.
