Mr. Sandy Paul “Moose” Brown, 63, 2017, died Wednesday Jan. 11, 2017, at the Merit Health Hos-pital in Jackson. Services for Mr. Brown were held on Monday Jan. 16, 2017, at Outreach Fellowship Revival Church on 84 west in Prentiss, with Pastor Jessie J. Holloway officiating. Interment was in the Galilee Church Cemetery in New Hebron, with Laird Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brown was the fourth child of nine children born to the late Delmon “Ted” Brown and the late Louise Mikell Brown of rural Jefferson Davis County. As a young man, Mr. Brown was reared and educated in the Jefferson Davis School system, attending Oakley Elementary School, prior to completing his education at J. E. Johnson High School. Mr. Brown worked many years at Lee Pigskin in New Hebron, before working for TK&K Lawn Care Service until his health failed.

Mr. Brown’s survivors include his two sisters, Sarah Gholar of Hattiesburg, and Betty Joseph of Rochester, New York; three brothers, Teddy (Kelley) Brown, Anthony Brown, both of Prentiss, and Donald (Shilo) Brown of State College, Pennsylvania; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
