Brenda Joyce Martin Davis, 71, died on Feb. 12, 2017, at her residence in Flowood.

Brenda was born Aug. 3, 1945, in Jeff Davis County, to Garlon Martin and Laverne Polk Martin. Visitation was held on Tuesday Feb.14, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello and continued Wednesday Feb.15, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services following in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss. Bro. Ricky Gray officiated the services with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband Emmett Reid Davis of Flowood; son Anthony “Tony” Gamble of Purvis; daughter Cynthia Heidemeyer of New Jersey; son Emmett R. Davis Jr. of Louisiana; son Timothy Clay Davis, daughter Stacy Sauls Thornhill; one brother Darrell Martin; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her parents Garlon and Laverne Polk Martin.
