Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at Hollisday Creek M. B. Church in Carson, for Mrs. Helen Gail Moore, 63, who died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Rev. Robert K. Minor, pastor, officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Helen G. Moore was born in Miami, Florida to the late Beulah and Albert Dampier. She was spent time in Carson, as well as Miami, Florida, where she met and married Randolph Moore and three children were born to this union.

She was preceded in death by her son, Nikia Moore and grandson, Keyon Moore.

She is survived by her husband, Randolph Moore of Carson; two children, Randolph (Jackie) Moore Jr. of Hattiesburg and Althea (Craig) Howard of Miami, Florida; four sisters, Hattie M. Reese of Carson, Vera (Cranfort) Wilson of Tallahassee, Florida, Francis Rogan of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Florida Hartley of Miami, Florida; two brothers, Albert (Lynn) Dampier of Detroit, Michigan and Freddie (Linda) Dampier of Prentiss; Godmother, Helen Bonaparte; special friend, Gloria J. Henderson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
