Funeral services were held May 16, 2017, at North Pleasant Hill M. B.

Church for Mr. Freddie Lee “Herc” Everett, 69, who died Tuesday, May 9, 2017,  at Mississippi Baptist Hospital, Jackson.  Rev. Moses Johnson officiated with burial following in the church cemetery.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Everett was born to the late Carlie and Vermon Everett in New Hebron. He was a former laborer in construction and farming.

He is survived by: companion, Martha Montgomery; children, Jessica Montgomery, Jonathan Montgomery, Tarkeshia Montgomery, AlexanderMontgomery, Cynthia Dampeer, Derrick Dampeer and Demetria Dampeer; 10 grandchildren; six siblings; many other relatives and friends.
