Funeral services were held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Mt. Zion M. B. Church for Mr. Wayne Daniels, 58, who died Monday, July 3, 2017, at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital.  Rev. Ozell White, pastor, officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wayne Daniels was born to the late Evon Daniels White and Robert Taylor. He attended school in Jefferson Davis County.  He moved to Bogalusa, Louisiana where he worked at Bogalusa Shipyard and later moved back to Prentiss and worked at Lincoln Lumber Company.

He is survived by three brothers, Robert Taylor Jr. of New York, Mark White of Prentiss and Eric (Lisa) White of Grand Prairie, Texas; six sisters: Janet (Jerrell) Newsome, Pamela (Raven) Curry and Mary Hooker all of Prentiss; LaRhonda White of Hattiesburg, Treme Taylor of New York and Diane Gray of Mt. Olive and many other relatives and friends.
