Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, for Mrs. June M. Speights, 83, of Bassfield, who died Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Bassfield Cemetery, Bassfield.

Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Ken Roberts and Rev. Murphy Eubanks officiated. Pallbearers were Brock Williamson, Kane Williamson, Brad Bullis, Mike Williamson, Scott Courtney and Brian Courtney.

Mrs. Speights was born June 16, 1934, in Memphis, Tennessee to Tom L. McGuire and Willie Franks McGuire. She was a nurse (LPN) in the medical field. She was a member of Society Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by: her husband, Leon Speights of Bassfield; three sons, Willie “Bill” Williamson of Cleveland, Don (Becky) Williamson of Prentiss, and Jerry (Deidra) Williamson of Charlotte, North Carolina; one daughter, Suzanne Cox of Columbia; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald McGuire of Liberty; two sisters, Marceliene Johnson of Summitt, and  Martha Finnan of Montgomery, Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James and Mickey McGuire; two sisters, Mary Depoister and Nena Smith; previous husband, Bill Williamson. Online condolences and a guest registry are available at www.saultersmoorefuneralhome.com.
