Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at Friendship Church of God in Christ, Collins, Mississippi for Mrs. Evelyn H. Coleman, 82, who died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Superintendent George Fairley, pastor, officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Evelyn H. Coleman was born to the late Elijah and Rosetta Magee in Collins.  She received her early education in Covington County.

She was a member of Friendship Church of God in Christ and was married to Leonard Coleman.

She moved to Boston, Massachusetts in the early 60’s and began working at Lying in Division for Women and later became a licensed cosmetologist.

She is survived by: five daughters, Zandra Coleman, Sheila Coleman, Vickie Coleman, Judy Coleman and Dwanda McCarty all of Boston, Massachusetts; siblings, Josephine Magee, Rosemary Howard, Dorothy Jones, Bennie Magee, Elijah Magee, Lee Magee, Williene Moore-Travis; foster children, Malcolm Martin, Jamaal Martin and Mallory Morris; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
