Graveside services were held Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at Green Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for Mr. Antonio Hawthorne, 51, who died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital.  Rev. Timothy Rush officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Antonio Hawthorne was born to the late Willie Edgar and Mary Nell Hawthorne.  He joined Green Grove Baptist Church at an early age.

He attended J. E. Johnson Elementary and Prentiss High School.  He was employed with American Environmental in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his brother, sister, niece and sister-in-law.

He is survived by his son, Darron Smith; three sisters, Willia (Lester) Smith, Anntoinette Walker, and Mary Wells all of Prentiss; brothers, Jessie R. Wells of Poplarville; James M. (Minnie) Hawthorne, Willie (Lesia) Hawthorn and Alan (Arshae) Hawthorne all of Prentiss; special aunt that raised him as her own, Joyce Hicks and many other relatives and friends.
