Saulters-Moore now under new ownership

Saulters-Moore Funeral Home has a new owner.
The funeral home is now owned by Kevin and Jennifer Hughes.
Hughes is the former owner of the Greater Jackson Mortuary in Jackson.
The Hughes have one son and have made their home in Oakvale.
Joe Hutchins is now serving as the Managing Funeral Director.
Saulters Funeral Home was founded in 1946 by Mr. I. V. Saulters and Mr. Toxie Aultman.
In August of 1985, the Saulters family sold the business to Moore Funeral Service, and the name was changed to Saulters-Moore.
Dan Ainsworth became the owner from 2006 until 2021.
The funeral home is currently undergoing numerous enhancements. “We are making improvements daily and hope to have those finished soon,” said Hughes.
“My family and I are so happy to be in Jefferson Davis County and can’t wait to meet those in the community. We are tickled to be here.”
