Funeral services were held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at J. E. Johnson Elementary School in Prentiss, for Miss Ah’laysia Jahkai De’Nyia Williams (Lay Lay), 12, who died Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in Jefferson Davis County.

Evangelist Diana Armstrong officiated with interment following in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Ah’laysia Williams was born to Miss Sabrina Daniels and Mr. Joshua Williams at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

She attended J. E. Johnson Elementary School where she met a host of friends. She loved Tik Tok, making lip gloss, dressing up and doing hair and most of all she loved spending time with her family and sharing in many laughs.

Miss Williams is survived by her mother, Sabrina Daniels; father, Joshua Williams; siblings, Ah’Zaria Daniels and Joshua Williams; maternal grandparents, Eileen Daniels and Ben McNair; paternal grandparent, JoAnn Williams; aunts, Angelette (Kenny) Eshun, Maxine (Elijah) Middleton, Alexus Williams and Antina Williams; uncles, Corey (Erica) Daniels, Anthony (Jennifer) Daniels, Cadarell (Ashley) Daniels, Tevin Williams and Quincy (Ashley) Daniels; special friends, Laila Hall and Zyriyah Booth and special teacher, Reasa Berry of Wiggins.
