Funeral services were held Saturday, March 27, 2021, at China Lee Baptist Church in Silver Creek, for Mr. Derrick Gardner, 52, who died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at residence in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Rev. Jerry Earl officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Derrick Gardner was born to the late Ike and Maythel Gardner in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He attended high school at Warren Eastern High School.

He is survived by his brother, Michael (Tonya) Gardner; son, Derrick Williams; daughter, Derrione Claiborne; six grandchildren; all of New Orleans, Louisiana; grandmother, Hattie Conerly of Los Angeles, California and many other relatives and friends.
