Military memorial services were held on Monday, April 12, 2021, for Mr. James “Tub” McGee, 69, who died Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at his residence.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James McGee was born to the late Mary McGee in Prentiss.  He was a member of Jordan Hill M. B. Church. He served in the United States Army for many years. Mr. McGee was a retired laborer from Ingalls Shipyard.  He loved fishing, spending time with family and friends and was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints.

He was preceded in death by three siblings, Linda Gale, Susan Ann and Gail Marie.

He is survived by his daughter, Hillary McGee of Prentiss; two grandchildren, Malaysia McGee and Asahd McGee; four brothers, John McGee and Vernon McGee both of Prentiss; Early (Vera) McGee of Hazelhurst; and Paul McGee of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Mary Buckley of Hattiesburg; Rosemary McGee of Prentiss and Lisa Hill of Newton and many other relatives and friends.
