Barbara Ann Shows, age 81, of New Hebron, passed away May 18, 2021, at home. Barbara was born Jan. 2, 1940 in Whitesand, to Henry and Elma McNease.

Visitation service was held 5:30 until 8 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021, and memorial service was Friday, May 21, 2021, at 10 a.m., both to be held at New Hebron Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Grenn and Rev. Gene Douglas officiated. Interment was at the New Hebron Cemetery.

Saulters-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were James Stuckey, Traylor Jackson, Tyler Shows, Cort Newson, Benjie Jackson and Ted Dearman.

Barbara retired from Jefferson Davis Hospital in Prentiss, as assistant administrator after 40 years of service. She was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church. She was an instrument of God with a pure heart, renewed daily, that tenderly touched others in a special way.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Larry Shows of New Hebron; one daughter, Kendra Jackson (Benjie); two sons, Keith Shows (Mydonya) of New Hebron and Kirk Shows of Collinsville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
