Funeral services were held Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Silver Creek, for Mrs. Cynthia Harris, 53, who died Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Rev. Michael Smith officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cynthia Harris was born to the late Clinton and Chellie Morris. She was married to Bruce Harris Sr. and to this union four children were born. She joined North Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and later joined Shady Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Ann Collins.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Harris Sr.; three sons, Bruce Harris Jr. of Killeen, Texas, Eddie Harris of Prentiss and Terrence Harris of Tupelo; one daughter, Jasmine Harris of Prentiss; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyn Collins of Monticello, Detra Fortenberry and Inez (Jimmy) Walker of New Hebron; one brother, Darron Morris of Byram; Godsister, Charlotte Hudson of New Hebron; Godson, Rieveon Armstrong Sr. and many other relatives and friends.
