Graveside services were held Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Collins, for Mrs. Hattie Lee Burgess Ainsworth, 69, who died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.  Rev. Milton Williams officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hattie Ainsworth was born in Simpson County to the late Douglas Burgess and Le’Verge Williams.  She was married to John L. Ainsworth and to this union were six children. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Stubbs; sons, Alfred Ainsworth and Darius Ainsworth; grandson, Zachary Porter and great-grandson, Caleb Jay’Von Smith.

She is survived by one son, John (Linda) Ainsworth Jr.; three daughters, April (Johnny) Reese, Derisa Ainsworth and Santana Ainsworth; four brothers, Johnny Burgess, James Stubbs, Larry Stubbs and Lazar Stubbs; two sisters, Ethel M. Hamilton and Bobbie Stubbs; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
