Saulters Moore debuts renovations

- Holley Cochran / The Prentiss Headlight—Prentiss Mayor Charley Dumas and owner Kevin Hughes cut the ribbon for the newly renovated and owned Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss.
Saulters Moore Funeral Home held an open house and ribbon cutting Sunday afternoon.
Guests were able to tour the newly renovated funeral home and enjoy a reception after the ribbon cutting. Recent improvements to the funeral home include painting, new carpet, new furniture and landscaping.
Kevin and Jennifer Hughes became the new owners of the funeral home in 2021 after owning and managing the Greater Jackson Mortuary in Jackson for many years.
The Hughes have one son and have made their home in Oakvale.
Joe Hutchins is serving as the Managing Funeral Director.
“My family and I are so happy to be in Jefferson Davis County and we were so happy to visit with everyone today at the open house,” said Kevin Hughes.
“Our commitment to providing superior service and our tradition of excellence will continue the great reputation Saulters-Moore has developed over the past 75 years.”
