Alcorn State President and Prentiss native Dr. Felecia McInnis Nave welcomed administrators of the Jefferson Davis County School District to the Alcorn State campus recently. JDC Superintendent Ike Haynes requested a meeting with Nave to discuss and plan partnerships with Alcorn State University in the areas of dual enrollment, evaluation of JDC school science labs and STEM departments, collaborations for grants, certification assistance for teacher assistants and teacher preparation. “Dr. Nave and her staff were extremely generous and welcoming and we enjoyed the tour of their beautiful campus,” said Haynes. Dr. Nave is a 1992 graduate of Prentiss High School. She is the daughter of Linda McInnis Clark of Prentiss and was named president of Alcorn State University in 2019.
