Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth L. “Buck” Butler Jr. were conducted Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel.  Interment followed in Brady Cemetery in Prentiss.  Rev. Roland McMillan officiated.  Mr. Butler, 72, passed away Thursday evening, Dec. 2, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were Larry Daley, Tony Waits, Jay Everitt, Paul Riley, Clay Stamps and Blake Stamps.  Glen McPhail served as an honorar pallbearer.

Mr. Butler was born Oct. 25, 1949, in Magnolia,to Kenneth L., Sr. and Nadine Rimes Butler.  “Buck’ as he was affectionately known, lived life to the fullest. Buck surrounded himself with good friends and many memories were made through the years with his buddies as they hunted, fished and attended ballgames together.  In addition, Buck especially loved his granddaughters.  He was a member of Prentiss Baptist Church.

Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth L .Butler Sr. and Nadine Rimes Butler.

His memory will be cherished by his son, Kenny Arie Butler (Lara) of Florence; one brother, Jimmy Butler (Glenda) of New Hebron, and one sister, Helen B. “Sissy” Stamps (Randy) of Prentiss.  Buck will also be lovingly remembered by his granddaughters, Katie and Maggie Butler.

The family received friends Monday, Dec. 6, from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
