Graveside services were held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at South Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for Mr. Sedrick Williams, 30, who died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2022,in Jefferson Davis County.  Rev. Phillip Collins officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sedrick D’Anthony Williams was born to Mr. Anthony Williams and the late Shauntha Oatis. He attended Prentiss Seventh Day Adventist Church. He graduated from Prentiss High School where he was a great football player.  He was a former laborer who loved football, writing rap sons, rapping and spending time with family and friends. He had two special godmothers, Daisy Newsome and Gladys Warner.

He is survived by his father, Anthony Williams of Prentiss; son, D’Aiden Williams of Prentiss; daughters, Aaliyah Davis, Aarilyn Smith, McKenzie Smith, Hayleigh Williams, and Madilyn Smith all of Prentiss; brother, Anthony Williams of Prentis; Owen Hall of Oklahoma; sisters, Dominique Magee of Irving, Texas, LaQuavier McGowan of Prentiss; Tamarial Dampeer of Georgia; maternal grandmother, Jessie M. Williams of Prentiss; paternal grandmother, Ida Barnes of Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
