JDCHS Students and Staff enjoyed snow cones from Kona Ice March 11 from the JDC Curriculum Department as part of Education Awareness Month.
Also planned this month as Education Awareness Month comes to a close is a Community Health Fair March 29 and 30. “This is a free community event designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, prevent and manage disease and connect you to resources,” said Educational Awareness Month Chairman and JDC Math Curriculum Specialist Andrea Curb. It will be held March 29 at J. E. Johnson Elementary in Prentiss and March 30 at Jefferson Davis County High School in Bassfield from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
A Jefferson Davis County School District Day Party was held March 24 for all graduates of Prentiss High School, Bassfield High School and Jefferson Davis County High School at Jefferson Davis County High on Bass Burkett Road in Bassfield and featured DJ Bigshipp.
All four JDCSD schools were under one roof to meet staff, explore academics, learn about specialized programs, get resources and more as part of the Expo Fair held at JDCHS also on March 24.
