Funeral services were held Thursday, July 14, 2022, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Silver Creek, for Miss Leslia Ann Parkman, 52, who died Thursday, July 7, 2022, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.  Rev. Kelvin Langston officiated with interment following at Pen Oak Baptist Church in Silver Creek. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Leslia Parkman was born to the late Augusta and Nellie Burks Parkman in Brookhaven, Mississippi.  She attended New Hebron Elementary, Junior High and graduated from New Hebron High School in 1987 and was a graduate of Southern Technical College in Jackson, Mississippi.

Miss Parkman was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church where she was a spiritual mentor.

She was employed at The Clarion Ledger Newspaper and Comcast in Jackson.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Parkman; one sister, Stephanie Parkman; four brothers, Rodney (Rebecca) Parkman, Maurice Hunter, Robert Burks and Randy Aultman and three special fiends, LaVoise Dixon, Lasonya Bournes and Lashunda Dampier.
