Ms. Marcy Speed Borganelli and Mr. Bart Jason Borganelli are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexis Patton Borganelli to John Sharp Kirk son of Mr. and Mrs. Wharfield Dixon Kirk of Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Santos Borganelli of Greenville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Earl Speed of Prentiss.  John Sharp is the grandson of Mr. Clyde Pinson Ballard, Jr. and the late Mrs. Margaret Price Ballard of Jackson, Charles Dunn Harlow, Jr. of Clarksdale, the late Mrs. Marion Warfield Harlow of Clarksdale, and the late Kenneth Henry Kirk of Tupelo.

Alexis is a 2017 graduate of Presbyterian Christian School. She attended the University of Southern Miss where she was a cheerleader and an active member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, in which she served as chaplain. Alexis also attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  She is currently employed at St. Dominic hospital.

John Sharp is a 2015 graduate of Jackson Academy and the University of Mississippi. He was an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity where he too served as chaplain.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is now pursuing his master’s in counseling at Mississippi College.

The couple will exchange vows October 8, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church in Hattiesburg, with a reception to follow at Hattiesburg Country Club.

The couple will reside in Jackson.
