Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Greater Sweet Beulah Church of God in Christ for Mr. Marcus Lee Allen, 55, died on Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at Tulane Medical Center, in New Orleans. Elder Leroy White officiated with interment following at Golden Gate Cemetery in Prentiss.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Marcus Allen was born to the late Maggie (Dolly) Allen in Laurel. He graduated from the Mississippi School for Deaf in 1986.  He joined Greater Sweet Beulah Church of God in Christ at an early age. he loved to take pictures and spend time with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his sisters, Alfreda Allen, Barbara Allen, Leflora Ross, Ruby Norwood, Wanda Kylon and Tammy Allen all of Prentiss; two brothers, Northing Allen of Lawton, Oklahoma and Roy Allen of Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
