Nancy Louise Walden Parish

Nancy Louise Walden Parish passed away Aug. 23, 2022, at Asbury Hospice in Hattiesburg, MS surrounded by her family. Mrs. Parish, age 81, resided in the Clem Community of Jefferson Davis County.
Nancy was born Dec. 5, 1940, in Union, to James Oliver and Lizzie Ferguson Walden. Nancy was employed for many years at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, before moving to the Clem Community. Nancy served as secretary at the Covington-Jefferson Davis Baptist Association where she would retire. She was a member of Phalti Baptist Church and enjoyed preparing for and teaching the Women’s Sunday School class.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, James Oliver and Lizzie Ferguson Walden.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 62 years, James L. Parish, one son, Jeffrey (Gayle) Parish of Belton, Texas and two daughters, Jamie Parish of Prentiss and Vicki Parish Shoemake of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and one sister, Chris Leonard of Denver, Colorado. Nancy’s memory and legacy will live on through her grandchildren, Blake Bass, Corey Parish and Logan Parish, and also her great-grandchildren, Kamden Bass, Sawyer Bass, Breland Parish, Braden Parish and Brooks Parish.
