Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at New Zion Baptist Church in Oakvale, for Mr. Ralph Irvine McClellan, 55, who died Friday, Oct. 27, 2022, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. Rev. Korey Langston officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ralph McClellan was born to Vera McClellan and the late John Henry McClellan. He attended New Zion Baptist Church in Oak Vale, served as an usher until his health failed. He attended J. E. Johnson and Prentiss High School. In 1985, Ralph married Carrie Ann Longino.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Carrie McClellan, Prentiss; daughter, Kynethra (Martez Sims), Prentiss; his mother, Vera (Charles) Blanchard, Prentis; four sisters, Bonnie Neters, Ann (Tony) Nettles, Cathy McClellan, and Bobbie Jean; four grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
