Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Silver Creek, for Mr. Winfred “Wimp” Conerly, 55, who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Rev. Roy Thompson officiated with interment following at Powell Ministry Church in Prentiss. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Winfred Conerly was born to Mary Showers and Prentiss Conerly. Winfred graduated from Prentiss High School in 1986 and went on to serve in the Army shortly after. He later established “K & W Towing” and became the “tow man.” Winfred was a member of St. Mary Church of God in Christ, but later joined Powell Ministries.

Winfred is survived by Mary Showers of Prentiss, and Prentiss Conerly of New Orleans, Louisiana; five children, Jeremy (Ashley), Hathorn, Yolanda Jones, Jaheim Conerly, Keayla and Raniaya Conerly; two sisters, Glenda Donaldson and Lynika Taylor; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
