Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at Silver Creek Missionary Baptist Church in New Hebron, for Mr. Marzett Walker, 83, who passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at his residence. Rev. Jerry Rogers officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Marzett Walker was born to the late Bessie Carter Walker and the late L. T. Walker. He was a member of Silver Creek Missionary Baptist Church in New Hebron. Mr. Walker worked in construction and pipeline. He enjoyed farming in his spare time.

Marzett is survived by his wife, Mary Walker, New Hebron; son, Larry Walker, Vicksburg; daughters, Sheran Watkins, Gulfport, MS; Demetrice Bell, Raleigh, North Carolina; brothers, Eddie Walker, Chicago, Illinois; L. T. Walker, Silver Creek; W. T. Walker, New Hebron; George Walker, Prentiss, MS; sisters, Vera McLaurin, New Hebron; Martha Jean Mallory, New Hebron; Corrine Walker, New Hebron; Kim Virgil, Fort Walton Beach, Florida; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
