An accident early Wednesday morning claimed the life of a Jefferson Davis County employee. David S. McRaney was killed in an automobile accident on Clem Road just after 6 a.m.

McRaney has worked for Jefferson Davis County for over 17 years as a District 4 Foreman, Rubbish Pit Foreman and most recently for District 3.

“David was instrumental in the county’s road paving and construction work,” said District 1 Supervisor Corky Holliman. “He was well liked and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all in Jefferson Davis County.”
