Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at Prentiss First Missionary Baptist Church in Prentiss for Mrs. Vearmell Norris Youngblood, 82, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Bishop Kevin Youngblood officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vearmell Norris Youngblood was born to the late Pleasy and Mariah Norris. She was a member of Prentiss First Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Youngblood was a retired certified nurse assistant. She loved sewing, quilting, playing the piano, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Vearmell Norris Youngblood is survived by sons, Troy Youngblood Jr., Madison; Ronald Youngblood, Prentiss; Bishop Kevin Youngblood, Prentiss; daughters, Dr. Latonya Polk (Derek), Flora; Sonya Presley (Dell), Madison; sister, Mary A. Jacobs, Memphis, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, thre great, great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
