Funeral services were held Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Mt Zion M. B. Church in Prentiss, for Mr. Calvin Rushing, 64, who passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Rev. Ozell White officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.

He is the son of the late V. M. and Sadie Rushing. He was a member of Mt. Zion M. B. Church. Mr. Rushing was a disabled welder who loved fishing, being a mechanic, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Kevin (Cassandra) Daniels, Prentiss; Brandon (Betty) Rushing, Mt. Olive; Tawanzia Rushing and Precious Rushing, Prentiss; sisters, Sherry (John) Hooker, Prentiss; Kathy Lark, Bryam; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
