Funeral services were held Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Springhill M. B. Church in Silver Creek, for Mr. Frederick Wendell Dawson, 65, who passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Mr. Frederick Wendell Dawson is the son of the late Micker G. Williams and Christine Dawson Norwell. He was a member of Springhill M. B. Church where he served on the usher board, trustee, member of Sunday School and bus driver. He was a retired truck driver, enjoyed cooking, football, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by: devoted wife, Annessia Dawson; daughter, Chiquita Franklin, Arlington, Texas; sons, Frederick Laron Dawson, Dallas, Texas; Cameron James Butler, Hattiesburg; sisters, Mary Helen Russell, Hattiesburg; Marjorie Durr, Willie Rea McDonald, Susie (Darnell) Moore, Mendenhall; Elizabeth Lancaster, Jackson; Renita Brinson, Jonesboro, GA; Bonita S. Clark, Dallas, Texas; brothers, Larry (Felisa) Williams, Charles and Johnny (Elaine) Franklin, Monticello; three grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
