Some changes have taken place this week at The Prentiss Headlight. 

The building at 1020 Third Street, which has housed the company’s office since 1935, is under contract to be sold.

However, The Headlight will remain in weekly print production as it has for the past 117 years and the company will continue to publish news and information daily at www.prentissheadlight.com.

“Although this is a big change, we want to assure the community that we are going to continue serving Jefferson Davis County as we always have,” said Editor Holley Cochran. “We appreciate our loyal customers and subscribers.”

Cochran will continue to work remotely to cover the news and people in Jefferson Davis County.

For customers, a drop box for news, payments and subscriptions is located Prentiss City Hall located at 911 Third Street.

Bound volumes with past editions of the newspaper also are available at City Hall.
