Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Sweetwater Methodist Church, Bassfield, Mississippi for Mrs. Brunette Harper Reese, 86, who died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Rev. Donald Robinson officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brunette Reese was born in Bassfield, to the late Percy and Helen Harper. She was employed at A&G Cafeteria and Country Boy for many years.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lee Vesta Reese and Danny Reese.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Lee Reese; daughters, Joyce Reese and Elaine (Jerry Sr.) Honore; son, Jefferson (Andrea) Reese Sr.; six granddchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
