Please use caution traveling near the post office on Mt. Carmel Avenue today as the Prentiss Public Works department makes water line repairs. One lane of traffic will be closed until work is completed.

A major water leak was discovered on Mt. Carmel Avenue in Prentiss late last night which significantly lowered tank levels for Prentiss water customers. The leak was soon isolated. “If your household lost all pressure, we are advising a precautionary boil water notice until further notice,” said Prentiss Mayor Charley Dumas
