EDD hosting small business workshop Thursday in Prentiss

The Jeff Davis County Economic Development District is hosting a Strategic Planning, Small Business Development and Entrepreneurship Workshop. The event will take place on June 29, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the historic Prentiss Institute’s Rosenwald School Building, located on J.E. Johnson Road in Prentiss.
This highly anticipated workshop aims to equip local businesses, entrepreneurs and stakeholders with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in today’s dynamic business landscape. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts, network with like-minded individuals, and gain valuable insights to enhance their ventures.
The workshop will feature two distinguished keynote speakers Mississippi Power Community Development Representative Joy Saucier and Entergy Community Development Representative Chris Hinton.
“Saucier brings a wealth of experience in community development and will share valuable strategies and resources to foster growth and sustainability within the Jeff Davis County community,” said JDC EDD Director Gary Bass.
“Hinton is a seasoned professional with a passion for driving economic development. He will provide valuable insights into the intricacies of small business development and entrepreneurship, empowering attendees to make informed decisions and seize opportunities.”
The event is open to all JDC stakeholders, including residents, local businesses, and aspiring entrepreneurs. A complimentary lunch will be provided, fostering networking opportunities among attendees and allowing for fruitful discussions on collaboration and community development.
