Ralph Terrell McPhail

Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Terrell “R.T.” McPhail were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Dublin Cem-etery.  Rev. Marcus Burnham officiated. 

Mr. McPhail, age 81, entered into the eternal rest of his Lord early Monday morning, July 24, 2023, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hatties-burg. 

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

The family received friends Wednesday evening, July 26, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were Joe Yawn, Wayne McPhail, Corey McPhail, Kristopher McPhail, John McPhail and Jordan McPhail.

Joseph McPhail, Tanner McPhail and Bennett McPhail served as honorary pallbearers.

Ralph Terrell McPhail was born on Feb. 2, 1942, to William Monroe Sr. and Pearl Bertha Whitehead McPhail. 

A lifelong resident of Jefferson Davis County, R.T., as he was known to everyone, was a painter all of his life. 

Having worked for himself, he was also a longtime employee of the Stafford Construction Company. 

R.T. had a great love for the outdoors and en-joyed deer and turkey hunting, as well as fishing.  He was a member of Dublin Baptist Church.

Mr. McPhail was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Walter, Nevell, Leroy, Thomas, Otho and Jr. McPhail; as well as his sister, Dorothy Farnham.

His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 56 years, Naomi “Cricket” Mann McPhail of Carson; his sons, Terrell McPhail (Kim) of Sumrall, Troy McPhail (Tena) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Trent McPhail (Leslie) of Collins.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Corey and Mallo-ry McPhail, Kristopher and Tiffany McPhail, Kali McPhail, Joseph McPhail, John McPhail, Drew McPhail and Jordan McPhail and his great-grandsons, Tanner and Bennett McPhail.
