Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at Blackmon Temple Methodist Church in Carson, for Mr. Lonnie Ray Johnson Sr., 64, who passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Rev. Clementine Echols officiated with interment following in Hollisday Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late Charles W. Wilson Sr. and Lela Hall. He was a member of Blackmon Temple Methodist Church.

Mr. Johnson was disabled and enjoyed fishing and horses.

He is survived by his mother, Lela Hall of Carson; sons, Lonnie Johnson Jr. (Lillian) of Hattiesburg; Lashaun Floyd of Hattiesburg; brothers, Charles Louis Fairley (Jessie) of Bassfield; Wesley Wils Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana; Calvin Johnson of Bogalusa, Louisiana; sisters, Charlie M. Perry (A. J.) of Sumrall; Vanessa Jordan (Craig) of West Palm Beach, Florida; Beverly Johnson of Bo-galusa, Louisiana; six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
