Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023 at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel in Prentiss, for Master Hayden Mandrell Burke who passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023 in Jefferson Davis County. Rev. Harold Gholar officiated with interment in Greens Creek Cemetery in Carson. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of Miss Sheena Burke and Mr. Charles Joshua. He was a student at Jefferson Davis County High School.

Master Burke loved playing video games, football and basketball. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Sheena Burke of Carson; father, Charles Joshua of Prentiss; maternal grandmother, Wanda O’Quinn of Carson; maternal grandfather, Curney Gisclar Jr. of Texas; paternal grandmother, Rosie Harper of Prentiss; brothers, Jordan Burke and Kemonte Joshua both of New Hebron; Kolby Butler of Prentiss; Cameron Burke of Carson and many other relatives and friends.
